Introduction to Oils

Oils are absolutely essential for a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle. They can contain healthy fats that are excellent at maintaining and improving your health. These healthy fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, while the unhealthy fats are saturated and trans fats.

Although oils that contain saturated and trans fats are unhealthy, there are two oils that are the exception: Coconut oil and Palm fruit oil. They contain saturated fats but they do not have the same effect on your body as other oils that contain saturated fats These unique oils can help unclog your arteries and help protect you from heart disease, heart attacks and strokes. They may also lower your blood pressure and improve your cholesterol levels. Oils that normally contain saturated fats increase these risks.

Oils also contain two special healthy fats. These are Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 3’s and Omega 6’s are polyunsaturated fatty acids that have very powerful anti inflammatory effect on the body especially on the brain, heart, arteries and skin. These omega fatty acids are excellent cancer fighters and cancer preventers.
